Assalamualaikum, and Heyyah! ^-^
*us, volunteers of the booth, UniSZA ft. UMT
u guys know what, i enrolled in university in september, a long days after graduated from matriculation.came to Terengganu, with flight, accompanied by my parents and ma lil bro. To me, it was excited but only on enrollment day. Hm. University of course, tiring and busy. I always get headache, not remembering well for ma schedule and forgot the events -- totally normal but suck! i'm suffering. Later i'll change dat habit, k.
What i wanna tell is that, ma friends n I had been a volunteer for outside event. TERENGGANU CHALLENGE 2017 (TC17) on 22 sept till 30 sept 2017. Actually, i juz wanna accompanied atul coz she really likes sport n military matter? idk, but yehh. While i love to have a new experiences, wtvr it is, safurah n mel juz followed us.
Hard but can be settled, we struggled with the excuse letters to give to lecturers for not attending their class. Went to faculty office, student holistic centre (PPHP), took the lecturers' signature then photostate it. huh! Done. Sometimes need to talk with some lecturer- strict/ to many ask. Well, i do realise we're juz semester 1 student, suddenly active. My university is flexible, no worries, they support somekind of volunteering event.
We got new friends, from the neighbouring university- over the fence university, UMT. khairina and farhana (need to mentioned their names, ahah) all of us worked in same unit- take care the booth a.k.a being a salesgugurls. From early morning (0700) till late nite (2300)-need to count the clothes left for tomorrow- managed the stock- balanced the profit, etc. No worries, we hv our shift but still there's a day the same person need to backup the one who not come. What can i say, Farhana and Khairina worked mostly in early morning shift, salute! At 2230 there was a firework everyday - yeh, kinda exciting, it was a symbol that the parachute ended for that day.
*herfff, luckily it's as light as a paper.
Exciting but a really new experiences for ME, working in circumstances of soldiers! ATM. it was a cooperation between ATM, visit Terengganu, Terengganu state n others. The main event was the parachute vomitted from an aircraft. wuuhuuu~nice view. what the prob? the prob is dat i'm a shy girl. i cant really talking with man. -_- but now i can handle that prob. The other problems were soldiers, (dont sue me if u read this,k) soldiers, erk (i think men do have talent in this) PICKUPLINE! Ouffff, how I hate it! I dunno how to react!! Fish, it then made me smiled bcoz it was a funny thing, hahaha. I hate u guys. -..-
Everyday there was a driver (actually he's a soldier under command to pick us all, haha. cant mention his name, lol) he's kind, talkative, sporting and sometimes annoying. The best is that he took us to dapopata (famous place in Kuala Terengganu), went to bank-banking matters, strolling terengganu. fehhh...sometimes, came other 'driver' with truck (i remembered there was a soldier really suck on driving a car, he said this was his first time driving a car, usually he's on truck---then i nearly bumped on the dashboard -..-). Yehhh, safurah once bent her leg while jumped down from the truck (the truck's so high). :p
knowing them isnt a regret. Thats all wanna say. Some of them gave an explanation about parachute, about their works, etc...
But, i've sooooo many many questions to ask what actually their life do? why like that? why this? i'm in curiosity. For actually they're not common peeps. *currently massaging ma head.
i laughed at them when having aerobic in early morning on a day. Looks like a hard robotic having their first move. ahaha, but in sado2 style. i smiled when there was a band of soldier sang a song on the stage. fufufu~ dunno, to me thats all funny things. but nice :)
we had our dinner at a cross-over-the-road restaurant. fehh, Amin buat kelaka siyes aq macam kne tibai. Main kasar kelaka dia ni. oh, there was a day, a helicopter blew our tent! what the... seriously? it was scared, okay. Luckily i'm not blew over with the tent--- imma skinny girl. Bad Heli, it's Nuri, the name. How strong is the heli's fan? U can search google la. I also didnt expect it's really.... really..... i dunno, but it is like a hurricane -_-
*before Nuri blew our tent
After all of this volunteering, i discovered i've sunburnt. Imagine it, after matriculation, i did traditional facial treatment then easily got sunburnt for a new student in university (it's matter so mucho coz i'm taking care a lot at face haha, lol). I was heartbroken but remembering the experience, well, sunburnt's nothing to compare.
There was no money for our energy but we dont mind coz we were suka n rela. And we didnt expect to get any money reward. :) but hoping to get fly in the helicopter, came to NO reality. Coz NURI was late to come!!! Nuriiiiiiii, Nuriiiiiii, Nuriiiii it was all yer fault lah haha. For our manager, Kapt. Amar :)
